Flexible Space Advantage
24 Second Avenue
New York, New York
Voided concrete slabs provide valuable building use flexibility.
24 Second Avenue features multiple uses.
This new mixed-use condominium building appearing to the right recently racing toward completion in the East Village of Manhattan. Designed by RSVP Architecture Studio, N-Plus Architecture, and DeSimone Consulting Engineers, the 120-foot tall structure yields 70,750 square feet, with 52,700 square feet of residential space, and commercial-retail space on the ground floor.
31 apartments have been constructed, averaging 1,700 square feet. The corner windows will be particularly sought-after for potential residents, with possible views of the nearby Sara D. Roosevelt Park across East Houston Street, and Brooklyn Bridge further out. In addition to the condos, there are also plans for 6,000 square feet of retail on the ground floor. The project is being developed by AORE Capital and RSVP Studio designed the building.
