PROJECT VOIDED SLAB ACHIEVEMENTS:
A dead load reduction of 2,249 cubic yards of concrete or approximately 4,555 Tons.
The load reduction was instrumental in limiting the foundation costs at this site.
The removal of the concrete resulted in less cement and a lower carbon footprint reduced by 486 Tons of CO².
The three-story building at 728 Court Street, in Red Hook, Brooklyn consists of an 80-foot-tall building with 247,540 sf of warehouse/parking and 20,355 sf of commercial space. Cobiax USA Voids were selected by Structural Engineering firm Desimone Consulting Engineers of NYC to accommodate the large spans without beams. Cobiax USA voids cover approximately 136,200 sf.
