ROY BLUNT HALL AT MISSOURI STATE UNIVERSITY
Cobiax USA Voids were selected by Structural Engineering firm Walter P. Moore’s Kansas City office to cover approximately 51,000 square feet with a dead load reduction of 669 cubic yards of concrete or approximately 1,360 Tons. The removal of the concrete resulted in less cement and a lower carbon footprint reduced by 144 Tons of CO².
The expansion of the Roy Blunt Hall slated to be completed in the fall of 2024 includes two phases: adding 77,000 additional square feet to the existing four-story building formerly known as Temple Hall and then renovating portions of the existing 126,000 square feet. The addition will include:
· Modern and well-equipped labs.
· Office suites for departments housed in the building (biology; geography, geology and planning; and chemistry and biochemistry).
· Office space for graduate students
